SessionSift terms of use
Last updated: 17 October 2026
These terms apply to the SessionSift app for Shopify ("the app"), provided by Elektraset, s.r.o. ("we"). By installing the app you, the merchant, agree to them.

1. The service
SessionSift:
- scores your storefront sessions for signs of automation;
- shows raw and clean traffic and conversions;
- lets you set detection rules;
- can optionally pause supported marketing pixels for sessions it classifies as bots;
- can publish a rule to your own Cloudflare zone.
Classification is statistical:
- Detection is not guaranteed. Some automated sessions are not detected, and some real visitors can be classified as suspicious.
- No change to Shopify's reports. SessionSift does not change Shopify Analytics.
- No block by default. SessionSift does not block visitors unless you publish a Cloudflare rule.
- Not all events can be stopped. It cannot stop every pixel or event, for example Shopify's own analytics, or events that fired before a verdict.
2. Your responsibilities
- You decide whether to turn on the event gate and Cloudflare rules, and which countries, networks and actions to use.
- You are responsible for:
- your store's privacy notices and consent banner;
- your Cloudflare configuration;
- the effects of challenging or blocking traffic.
- Shopify does not support a Cloudflare proxy in front of a store; you use one at your own risk.
- You must not use the app to discriminate unlawfully against visitors, or to break the Shopify Terms of Service.
3. Plans and billing
- Billing: paid plans are billed by Shopify through the Shopify Billing API every 30 days, in USD, after any free trial. Prices and limits are shown on the app's Plan page and in the Shopify App Store listing.
- Plan limits: only clean (human) sessions count toward a plan limit. Over the limit, sessions are still counted, but their details are hidden until the next month or an upgrade.
- Cancelling: you can cancel at any time by switching to the Free plan or uninstalling the app. Charges already billed by Shopify are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
4. Data
We process data as described in our privacy policy at https://sessionsift.apps.elektraset.com/privacy. For storefront visitor data we act as your processor.
5. Availability and changes
- We aim for high availability, but we do not guarantee an uninterrupted service.
- We may change features. If a change materially reduces a paid plan, we give 30 days' notice in the app.
6. Liability
- The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost sales or lost advertising spend.
- Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
7. Termination
- You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
- We may suspend the app for a store that abuses the service or breaks these terms.
8. Law
Czech law applies, and the courts of the Czech Republic have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
